A Bad Day in Mercury, A Year in Misery?

Have you had a bad day today? (Yes.)

Today may have been bad but thank the high heavens you weren’t born a Mercurian or a Venusian. Having a bad day in Mercury means migraine and melancholy for 176 Earth days. Venusians have a worse fate, their sickness and sorrow lasts for 243 Earth days. And yes, a bad day in Mercury is a year in misery because a day in Mercury is longer than a year.

Feeling better now?

Everybody has their bad days and that’s okay. It’s part of being human. However, you’d probably want to avoid he worse kind. One which mimics a Mercurian or Venusian day as it stretches beyond one bad day and blurs days, weeks or even months as gray and tiresome. I bet you don’t want to have that unless you’ve long dreamed of living in those planets.

All I’m saying is that we should be thankful for being blessed with at least 365 opportunities to feel brand new and better and let go of yesterday’s troubles. Whatever it was that brought you down yesterday, it’s done. You cannot really do anything about it. What you could do however is face the brand new day with a smile even brighter than yesterday and a heart filled with optimism and hope that today will be out of this world in a more jovial use of the figurative language, of course.

Everyday is an opportunity for renewal. And it doesn’t always need to be when the clock strikes 12 midnight! We just have to constantly grab that opportunity so that we always feel happy about ourselves. Unless it’s a ticket to experience a day in Mercury or Venus you’d want to have.

Always remember that tomorrow is a brand new day and that the sun will always be shining so bright! See you smiling and shining tomorrow then!

I don't have anything against the planet Mercury. Matter of fact, I was Sailor Mercury in my not-so-distant childhood. LOL!
